The Spring of Poetry

Poetry for all, poetry by all, poetry everywhere… The Printemps des Poètes event takes place in Tours every year throughout the month of March. The aim is to promote and create poetry in all its forms, in every district of this city of 140,000 inhabitants, from the very young to the elderly. INDIGO and now the INDIGO Foundation have supported this outstanding event for over 20 years. 

Poetry walks, readings, exhibitions, shows, poetry reading brigades, book creation workshops, mediation with local youth… poetry can be read, performed, experienced, even cultivated, and is accessible to all in Tours. The Printemps des Poètes association’s aim is to share the joy of poetic language and make it more readily accessible to as many people as possible.

Since 2023, the INDIGO Foundation has been funding workshops and operations organized by the association as part of the Printemps event. In addition to the support provided by the INDIGO Foundation, INDIGO has set up a comprehensive campaign in its parking lots to take part in the event and spread poetry (posters, INDIGO radio, distribution of a “Poésie en étages” booklet to customers of the Gare – Palais des Congrès parking lot store).
