The Historical Performance of Meaux

Every year since 1982, the town of Meaux has organized a historical show that attracts over 6,000 spectators. Retracing the heroic journey through 2,000 years of French history and the commune of Meaux, the show combines the unique setting of the Cité Épiscopale, near the cathedral of Saint-Étienne de Meaux, with over 18 breathtaking scenes performed by 500 volunteers, including actors, dancers, musicians and costume designers.

The INDIGO Foundation supports the organization of this emblematic and moving event, which involves more than 2,500 costumes, 300 light displays and 900 spotlights. For 9 evenings each year, this show illuminates Meaux for 1h15, featuring musical, historical and artistic moments that reflect the city’s history and cultural heritage.

In addition to the financial support from the INDIGO Foundation, INDIGO implements a promotional program in the city’s INDIGO parking lots.
