Handisports en fête in Occitanie

Handisport en Occitanie’s main objective is to make the practice of physical and sporting activities accessible to as many people as possible, including those with physical, visual and hearing disabilities. Through 30 leisure, competitive and outdoor disciplines, the Comité Régional Handisport and its structures offer an activity for each member adapted to his or her pathology, needs and desires.

Every year, Handisport en Occitanie organizes an awareness-raising event on the Place du Capitole in Toulouse, inviting schoolchildren, professionals and the general public to discover handisports. Supported by the INDIGO Foundation, the event aims to:

  • Introduce disabled people to handisport.
  • Combat their isolation and enable them to regain a place in society.
  • Raise public awareness of disability and specific disciplines.
  • Promote and develop handisport through an event on a regional scale, in the heart of a major city – here, in Toulouse!
  • Participate in the momentum generated by the Games organizing committee and the French government.
