Brazilian youth on stage with Sol Maior
Culture
On December 11th, the Sol Maior Association gave its end-of-year concert in Porto Alegre, at the Simões Lopes Neto Theater (Multipalco Eva Sopher). About 600 people, mostly families, attended this restitution of the work carried out with the students, in a warm atmosphere.
The show, entitled “Plural Brazil”, offered a journey through different cultural expressions of Brazil, with music, singing, dance and capoeira. On stage, about 180 children and teenagers presented a performance of 1 hour and 45 minutes, which was praised by the audience.
Thanks to the support of the INDIGO Foundation, Sol Maior is able to maintain free workshops for young people aged 6 to 17 living in vulnerable areas of Porto Alegre. The association proves through its actions that music and access to culture play an essential role in supporting these children, promoting their development and opening up new perspectives for them.
